Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival day. Benasque

Morning: Arrival to Spain. (Madrid, Zaragoza, Barcelona). Transport to Benasque and welcome meeting. We´ll have a walk around the village and more surprises.

Evening: Dinner and Spanish practice.

Day 2 - Trekking day. Posets-Maladeta Natural Park

Today’s theme: flora and fauna.

After breakfast, we will visit the Benasque Nature Interpretation Center
and then go trekking in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. Distance of the trekking: 9km – 10km (5,5 – 6,2 miles), ascent: 500 to 700 m (1600-2200 feet). Highest altitude 1965 m (6400 feet)

Night: Before dinner, we will have a group Spanish class and there will be time to enjoy some local beers and wines.

Day 3 - Trekking day: Posets-Maladeta Natural Park

Theme of the day: history of Benasque.

Morning: Trekking in the National Park. Distance: 9km (5,7miles), ascent: 669m (2195feet).

Afternoon: visit to a local cheese factory.

Night: Accommodation at Hotel San Antón and dinner in the village after the spanish class.

Day 4 - Ainsa

Aínsa village and activities

 

Morning: We pack our backpacks and travel to Aínsa. Accommodation at Hotel Dos Ríos. Sightseeing tour in Aínsa and lunch in the village.

Afternoon / night: Different options: Swimming in natural pools, Visit to a craft brewery  and Spanish class. Dinner in the village.

Day 5 - Trekking day. Ordesa-Monte Perdido National Park

Morning: Trekking: Distance: 10km – 12km (6,2-7,4 miles), ascent: 300 to 600 m (1300-2000 feet). After finishing the route, we visit the village of Torla.

Afternoon: we head to Biescas where we have our accommodation at
Casa Maza.

Night: Dinner in the village after the spanish class.

Day 6 - Trekking day. Tena Valley (Biescas)

Morning: Treking: distance: 10km (6,2 miles), ascent: 330 m (1000 feet). Theme of the day: the shepherds of the Tena Valley. Spanish lesson during the rout.

Afternoon: We will meet a local shepherd and then visit a local honey producer and their beehives.

Night: dinner will be in the village. Accommodation in the same place.

Day 7 - Tena Valley (Biescas)

Free day or alternative activities.

Spanish classes, canyoning, horseback riding, visit to the Serrablo
churches, and tour of abandoned villages.

Day 8 - Fly to the Canary Islands

Flight to Lanzarote and Famara

 

Morning: We leave early in the morning to Madrid and take a flight to Lanzarote.

Upon arrival, we rent a van and head to Famara. Lunch at the Tele Club in Tao.

Night: Accommodation in Famara, Spanish classes, walk along Famara beach,
and dinner around the village.

Day 9 - Exploring the Island

Morning: Visit to the Market of La Villa de Teguise.

Afternoon: After lunch we´ll explor Los Roferos (the stratified city),
Charco del Palo cave, and the Cochineal Museum in Mala.

Night: Dinner in Arrieta (Casa de la Playa) and then we´ll have a spanish class in Famara.

Day 10 - Treking day

Morning: Trekking route around El Risco de Famara. Distance: 6 km – 9km (3,7-5,7 miles). Ascent: +/- 400 m (1300 feet). Spanish lesson at the beach.

Afternoon: We´ll vitit a local craft workshop (PELETE) in Famara where they´ll teach us how to make a souvenir of Lanzarote.

Night: Dinner in an authentic local restaurant.

Day 11 - Timanfaya National Park

Morning: Visit to Timanfaya National Park.

Wine tasting in La Geria, at Bodegas Rubicón or Bodega Stratvs.

Afternoon: Visit to La Hoya, Playa del Janubio, Los Hervideros,
and Playa de los Clicos.

Night: Lunch in El Golfo, return to Famara, Spanish classes, and dinner.

Day 12 - "La Graciosa" Island

Morning and afternoon: Today we’re off to the island of La Graciosa.

We will rent bikes and ride along its most amazing beaches and cliffs,
discovering what everyday life is like for the locals.

Night: return to Lanzarote, we´ll have Spanish lesson and then dinner.

Day 13 - Trekking day

Morning: Trekking in Caldera Blanca. Distance: 10km (6,2miles), ascent: 350m (1000 feet)

Afternoon: We´ll visit Los jameos del agua and Cueva de los Verdes, getting inside a volcanic tube.

Night: Spanish lessons and dinner.

Day 14 - Leaving day

Leave the accomodation after breakfast for your transfer to the airport
