Hi, I´m Rober!
Creator of “SpanishWhileTraveling” Travel experiences in Spanish.
Learning a language is a journey in itself, but after living in several countries and learning other languages, I began to reflect—and I created a new way to travel and teach Spanish.
Custom Travel Experiences
SpanishWhileTraveling was born from a conversation with friends who, coincidentally, were all teaching Spanish to foreigners in different countries. We were living in cultures different from our own, and I felt the need to learn the local language and travel through each country in a way that was different from the conventional options offered by travel agencies or language schools.
Making it possible
When I returned to Spain, I wanted to show my students what life here is really like—to share our cultural diversity from the perspective of a Spanish teacher, an adventurer, and a mountain guide. This unique combination is what makes SpanishWhileTraveling different and truly special when it comes to offering a linguistic and cultural immersion.
Building Memories
It’s not about traveling to a country and experiencing it with the same habits you have in your daily life, but about absorbing and embracing the local culture, living as the local people do.
I’m someone who feels most alive while traveling. I’m a Spanish teacher for foreigners and a mountain guide, but more than anything, I’m an explorer — of landscapes, cultures, and the people who give them life.
Over the years, I’ve lived in five countries and traveled through more than thirty — from Costa Rica to Morocco, Peru, Bosnia, and many more. Every trip has taught me something new about the world and about myself.
For the past four years, I’ve been living in the Pyrenees, pursuing another dream — becoming a mountain guide. It’s where I feel most at home: surrounded by nature, close to people, and connected to that adventurous spirit that has been with me since childhood.

Curiosity and a love of nature have always guided my journey. I studied Environmental Sciences at the University of Salamanca and later taught the subject for a year on the island of Lanzarote. Two years in England sparked a new passion: teaching Spanish to people from around the world. That passion took me to San Sebastián, where I spent four wonderful years as a Spanish teacher.
I guess you could say I’m a bit restless and endlessly curious — but honestly, that’s what makes life interesting.
And now, I’m excited to share this passion with you through SpanishWhileTraveling. Ready to explore, learn, and live unforgettable moments together?
